Additional Information:

I use she/her/hers pronouns.

Theoretical Orientation:

My theoretical orientation is grounded in multicultural counseling theory and the ecological model, which allow me to consider both the individual experiences of clients and the broader cultural context in which they exist. My approach is integrative and informed by interpersonal process, motivational interviewing, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I conceptualize many psychological concerns as being connected to relational patterns and the resulting cognitive schemas that developed early in life. I use interpersonal process to increase awareness of how early experiences influence a client's presenting concerns, and I use cognitive-behavioral interventions to help clients examine and adjust maladaptive thought patterns.
