I earned a BA in Comparative Literature from Brown University and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from William James College.

Additional Information: 

I facilitate the Family Chaos, Mindful Living, and Bites with Emmy (LGBTQ support) groups.  I am the liason to the Pride Center and the Human Service Resource Center.

Theoretical Orientation: 

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the essential healing element in successful treatment.  I work in an integrative therapeutic style that incorporates Acceptance and Commitment therapy and other mindfulness-based approaches, as well as Relational-Cultural therapy.   I view my role as to empower the client to create change from within, using tools drawn from mind-body approaches, while understanding contextual factors including family of origin, culture, and society.
