My Pronouns: She, her, hers

Theoretical Orientation:

My style as a counselor is based on humanistic principles of genuineness, empathy and a nonjudgmental stance. Specific interventions depend on the client's interests but I often draw from so-called third-wave therapies: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-based Therapy. I often focus on client’s values and how to best achieve a life congruent with what is important to them by using their strengths. To the best of my abilities I am mindful of experiences of marginalization within society and how clients are impacted based on their identities. All of my work is trauma-informed and I have some training in trauma therapy.
