We're in this together! And CAPS is still (remotely) here for you!
CAPS recognizes how important it is for us to support OSU students -- now more than ever. We commit to doing everything we can to continue supporting students.
For emergencies and immediate crises:
If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911. If you are in crisis and need to speak to someone immediately, contact the Crisis Text Line (text 741-741) or the Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-8255) for immediate support.
CAPS On-Call Clinic:
Our on-call clinic for consultations and immediate needs will continue to operate regular hours:
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to be connected with a counselor. We will respond as quickly as possible, during consultation hours (usually within 1 hour).
In your email, please include your first and last name, student ID number, phone number, times during which you can take a call, and a brief description of your need.
A counselor will call you back at a time you’re available via Zoom telephone from a New York number: (646) 568-7788
We are able to provide a full range of clinical services to students who are currently located in Oregon. We can also provide clinical services to students living within the United States, but outside of Oregon, if your state allows this (each state has its own unique rules governing the provision of teletherapy during the Covid-19 pandemic). Please let your counselor know if you are not in the state of Oregon.
Consultation services are also available for OSU faculty and staff who are concerned about an OSU student.
Our office hours remain the same while providing services remotely:
You may email email@example.com anytime. We will respond as quickly as possible during office hours, often within 1 hour.
Please keep in mind that email is not a secure form of communication.
After hours, please call 541-737-2131 and select option 1 to speak with a counselor.
All CAPS services are being provided remotely. On-call consultations will be via Zoom telephone from a New York number: (646) 568-7788. Regular appointments will be conducted via secure videoconferencing through Zoom (specific instructions for how to do this will be sent to CAPS clients).
CAPS Single Session Clinic appointments are being offered through Zoom videoconferencing. Click here for more information.
Mindfulness meditation sessions for students, faculty, and staff will be available via Zoom. Click here for more information.
