CAPS offers a variety of Gender Affirming Care services to support the needs and experiences of transgender and gender diverse students, both individually and in group counseling. If you are exploring your gender, experiencing gender dysphoria, or seeking gender affirming surgical procedure documentation, please schedule a phone consultation (if you do not already have a CAPS counselor) and indicate this on the form you will complete. CAPS is committed to providing affirming care, referrals, advocacy, consultation, and education to students, campus partners, families, and peers. Our practice is guided by Standards of Care for the Health of Transgender and Gender Diverse People (chapter 18, pg. S171), and we develop letters and complete documentation to assess the need for psychosocial and practical support of transgender and gender diverse people in the perioperative period surrounding gender affirmation surgery.
