CAPS offers a number of services that we believe will enhance all Ecampus students’ mental wellness. We partner with Telus Health to expand counseling services to OSU students enrolled at all campuses, including Ecampus. Through the Anytime Anywhere program, students have access to free and confidential mental health and wellness counseling at any time of day, from anywhere in the world, 365 days a year. The app can be used for immediate access to a counselor, to schedule short-term teletherapy sessions, or simply to explore a variety of mental health resources like videos, articles, and assessments. Click here for more details and to learn how to download the app.

Ecampus students can access services at CAPS.  Feel free to call us at 541-737-2131 during business hours to learn more. If you know you would like ongoing counseling and you are new to CAPS, please schedule a consultation. If you decide to move forward with counseling, the OSU health services fee will be charged to your student account once your first session is scheduled (no fee is required for the initial consultation). This fee provides access to Student Health Services, in addition to CAPS. Click here to see the current OSU fee schedule.

Ecampus students may also utilize Thriving Campus to find off-campus therapists offering in-person and virtual counseling.

Students living outside of Oregon

Teletherapy regulations prohibit CAPS counselors from providing ongoing counseling to anyone not physically present in Oregon. However, you may still call CAPS if you are in crisis. If you need guidance on finding a provider in your area, you may schedule a consultation

You can also search for providers in your area by using the Psychology Today therapist finder.

International Students

If you have an immediate need to talk to a mental health counselor please contact CAPS at 541-737-2131 (if calling after hours, select option 1). CAPS counselors are prohibited by law to offer ongoing counseling services to OSU students who do not reside in the United States.

If this is an emergency and you are unable to stay safe please contact emergency services in your area, or contact the International Association for Suicide Prevention.

We are able to provide a full range of clinical services to students who are currently located in Oregon. Please let your counselor know if you are not in the state of Oregon, and they can provide guidance around finding help in your area.
