Mental Health Refresh

What Is Mental Health Refresh?

Mental Health Refresh is a month-long celebration of wellbeing, happening throughout May. Join us for engaging events, campaigns, and ways to get involved — all designed to spark conversation on and offline, build awareness, and remind us that caring for our mental health can be energizing, creative, and even fun. This year’s theme, Beavs Supporting Beavs, highlights the power of showing up for one another — because a stronger, more connected community starts with all of us.

We invite students, faculty, staff, departments, and organizations to be part of the movement by engaging online, hosting their own event or leading an activity at the Mental Health Refresh Night Festival on May 6.

The three main objectives of Mental Health Refresh are to:

  • Expand mental health programming across campus to make events and resources more accessible.
  • Promote everyday, intentional well-being practices—not just professional support—as essential to mental health.
  • Foster belonging and connection by engaging campus departments, programs, clubs, and student leaders in building a supportive mental health culture.

Help Lead the Refresh

From May 1 through May 30, help us amplify mental health awareness by using the Mental Health Refresh Marketing Package!

The collection includes social media graphics, classroom slides, digital screen slides, and posters. Anyone can download the package and share the materials across campus, in classrooms, and on social media.

Join the fun on Instagram! Follow our CAPS account to take part in Mental Health Refresh challenges, polls, and interactive posts starting May 1.

Follow us at @oregonstate_caps and repost to engage your community!

Help build our Beavs community by posting to our Padlet! Post a picture of what “refresh” looks like for you or your organization at OSU. It could be a place, a person, a routine, a self-care practice, or a small habit. Tell us how it supports your mental wellbeing!

Encourage others to join in and keep the momentum going. Share the Padlet with friends, colleagues, or your students and invite them to post their own “refresh.” Together, we can grow a visible, supportive Beavs community that prioritizes mental wellbeing.
