OSU Assist is a multidisciplinary support team, separate from CAPS, that provides compassionate mobile crisis response and wraparound services for students and employees on campus facing extenuating circumstances or experiencing other forms of distress. In situations where there is no threat of violence and no access to weapons, they can respond to distressing situations and suicide ideation, and provide safety planning, resource connections, survivor support, delivery of difficult news, mental health evaluation, and welfare checks.

The Student Care Team (SCT) is dedicated to addressing student behaviors that signal a crisis or heightened concern. Its primary goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of students, which contributes to the overall health of the OSU community. Comprising a team of OSU professionals, the SCT works collaboratively to ensure a cohesive approach to support, provide a structured method for addressing student needs and behaviors that impact the university community, and initiate appropriate intervention and resource connections. Learn more about the SCT or submit a Student Care Inquiry Form.

Workshops, Tabling & Collaborations

We offer interactive presentations and workshops to the campus community that raise awareness about our services and effective ways for students to manage stress. We are happy to offer these to classes, student clubs and organizations, and other groups on campus. You may also inquire about a programming collaboration, special response, or to request informational tabling at an event.
